MAKEIT Roofing completed a sensitive heritage tile reinstatement at a historically significant apartment building in Carlton. The project involved accessing a four-storey roof with limited entry points, where several original French Marseille tiles had slipped from the structure. Using fall-arrest systems instead of scaffolding, the team safely reinstated tiles and lead flashing while maintaining the integrity of the building’s heritage materials.

 

The works were completed efficiently, with minimal disruption to residents and full preservation of the site’s architectural character.
