Ralph Reserve Pavilions Roofing & Flashings Sunshine West, VIC

Summary

MAKEIT Roofing was engaged by Simbuilt to complete specialised roofing works at the BCC Ralph Reserve Pavilions, focused on integrating new mechanical services into the existing roof.

The scope involved the installation of backtray flashings and 22 custom upstands to accommodate new exhaust fans. Given the number of penetrations and the existing roof conditions, a high level of precision and coordination was required to ensure both compliance and long-term performance.

A key component of the project was close coordination with the HVAC contractor. Each upstand was fabricated and installed to ensure it was level and correctly positioned for the mechanical installation, allowing the exhaust units to be installed efficiently and without modification.

During the works, all penetrations were carefully wrapped and protected, ensuring the roof remained watertight throughout the installation process. This staged approach allowed multiple trades to work efficiently while maintaining the integrity of the existing roofing system.

The result is a fully integrated solution where all penetrations are properly detailed, compliant, and built to perform long-term.
